Health is wealth. It is wealth in more than one way. Health leads to a longer life, and having a long life is a form of wealth. Good health leads to financial stability. Good health also brings peace, and peace is a form of wealth.

Health leads to a longer life:

People like to be healthy, whether they are aware of it or not. The most important thing to keep healthy, in my opinion, is blood. “For the life of the flesh is in the blood…” (Leviticus 17:11a). Things like soda, beer, and other carbonated drinks are bad for your blood. When we exhale, we breathe out carbon dioxide. Carbonated drinks contain carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide isn’t good for you. In my opinion, deleting carbon dioxide from your diet leads to a longer life.

Health as it directly relates to financial stability:

Health is indeed wealth, as it directly impacts our financial stability and decision-making. When we are unhealthy, the costs can quickly accumulate—medical bills can become a significant burden, leading us to invest more in treatment rather than prevention. In moments of fatigue or discomfort, we often resort to convenience purchases, neglecting to consider our budgets. This impulsive spending can stem from a desire to feel better quickly, but it ultimately jeopardizes our financial wellbeing. Prioritizing our health not only contributes to a better quality of life but also ensures that we handle our finances more responsibly, making informed choices that align with our long-term goals. Taking care of our physical and mental health should be seen as an investment in our overall prosperity, allowing us to thrive both personally and financially.

Health leads to peace:

Being in a state of homeostasis is the ultimate indicator of good health. Homeostasis is the process by which living organisms regulate their internal environment to maintain stable, constant conditions despite external changes. This equilibrium is crucial because it allows organisms to function optimally, ensuring that physiological systems operate efficiently. For instance, in humans, homeostasis regulates temperature, pH levels, and hydration, which are vital for survival. When homeostasis is disrupted, it can lead to stress or illness, affecting overall well-being. Thus, maintaining homeostasis is important not only for individual health but also for broader ecological balance, as it fosters resilience and adaptability in response to changing conditions. Ultimately, achieving homeostasis contributes to a sense of peace within the organism, supporting both mental and physical harmony. Homeostasis is required for peace.
